Events and Opportunities
The Parents' Auxiliary sponsors many great events throughout the year. The success of all of our events relies heavily on the talents and energy of our parent volunteers.
Some of these events are for our students, such as Santa's Workshop. Others are fun-, friend-, and fundraisers for the School community, such as Homecoming/Fall Festival and our Spring Auction. We also support our teachers and staff as Library Volunteers and Homeroom Parents.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities at School Events & Traditions
Homeroom Parents - The Homeroom Parents are involved in coordinating year-round classroom activities, especially during the Christmas season.
Library Parents - A group of parent volunteers who help our school librarian each week during their child(ren)'s grade-level visit to the library.
Homecoming & Fall Festival - Our community and alumni join us for a two-day event each fall, celebrating Homecoming with football and field hockey games played on Gaffney Family Field, followed by food, fun, and carnival games at our Fall Festival on Algeo Field.
Gift Wrap Sale - This fundraiser ensures that everyone is prepared for the Christmas season with festive, beautiful gift wrap and the funds raised offset the cost of the Family Mass and Breakfast, held annually each spring.
Holy Child Shops - More than 25 vendors showcase their items during this festive holiday shopping fundraiser, held each November at Overbrook Golf Club. For every purchase made during the event, 20 percent of the sale price will be donated back to our school — a great way to give back to Holy Child while preparing for the season of giving!
Santa's Workshop - In preparation for Christmas, this event provides our children with the opportunity to buy small and wrap gifts for family members with the help of parent volunteers.
Family Mass and Breakfast - Each spring, this community event allows us to gather and celebrate Mass in our Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Athletic Center. Following the Mass, families come together for breakfast and connect with old friends and new.
Spring Auction - The signature event of Parents' Auxiliary, the Spring Auction is an exciting event held each April that combines a silent and live auction with the ultimate goal of raising funds to support the great work and valuable programs at our school.
Middle School Play - Each May, our Middle School students display their talents onstage — and the play cannot succeed without the many behind-the-scenes volunteers who give their time, talent, and treasure to this annual production.
