Dear Holy Child Community,
We hope this finds you well and, for our current parents, that you and your children are excited to be back to school. We are reaching out to provide you with an update on our Head of School search process and alert you to some important upcoming activities.
The Search Process
As we discussed in our previous letter dated August 18, a vital component of the process will be an in-person visit to the school by our consultants Burke Zalosh and Bob Vitalo from Carney, Sandoe & Associates. On Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22, our consultants will meet with parents, faculty, administrators, staff, trustees, alumni, Holy Child Sisters, and students to develop a highly informed profile of the qualities and abilities that our school community is seeking in its next leader. It is critically important that we hear your thoughts and receive input from you throughout the search process.
As such, we are inviting you to use this form to register for one of the in-person or virtual meeting options as detailed below:
Current Parents:
- Wednesday, September 21 from 8:15 – 9:00 a.m. (PAAC Community Room)*
- Wednesday, September 21 from 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. (Virtually via Google Meet)
- Thursday, September 22 from 8:15 – 9:00 a.m. (PAAC Community Room)*
*To allow for the most effective dialogue, the in-person meetings will be limited to 15-20 people. If demand is greater, we will host a second meeting at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21 — and if needed at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 — in the Tudor Living Room.
Alumni, Past Parents, and Friends of the School:
- Wednesday, September 21 from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. (Virtually via Google Meet)
These meetings will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about the search and to voice your ideas about the qualities you value in our next Head of School.
We also want to reaffirm our commitment to making this process as inclusive as possible and, to that end, we will provide several opportunities along the way to gather input from all of Holy Child's important constituent groups. If you are unable to attend any of the above meetings, you may still participate by completing the online community survey that will be shared via email on Friday, September 16.
